OUR STORY
Made in Orlando
I, Julie, coming from a long line of bakers, would often surprise Karl, my husband, with delicious Peruvian treats on his “cheat days” as he attempted to stay healthy during the week. However, that proved difficult as our home always had the most amazing aroma coming from the kitchen.
Our friends and family often agreed as we started receiving requests for treats and custom cakes. From that moment, we imagined how great it would be to have our own bakery here one day. However, we never imagined that this opportunity would present itself sooner than later. In 2020, the pandemic hit, and the world had suddenly come to a halt. The entertainment industry suffered a major impact. Karl found himself furloughed from Disney and all of his other shows were canceled. We were quarantined at home with our three-month-old baby as the days and weeks grew with uncertainty. With all of our newfound downtime, we thought, “It’s now or never.” After a few months of hard work and sleepless nights, we were just about ready to launch when a friend of ours suggested and invited us to the Facebook page Ear for Each Other. An amazing group page was created to support Disney Cast Members who were impacted by the pandemic. Since our launch, this amazing group, along with others, has shown us an incredible amount of support. With time, orders started growing and soon realized we needed extra hands, this is when I met Ana, a fantastic baker full of pixie dust, and we turned into a well-oiled machine... the rest is history.
We are forever thankful and could not have imagined our journey thus far.
Our Team. Our Family.
We are the magic behind the wheel, screen and delicious treats. You can find us laughing and singing while working (except when we don't even breathe while writing something on a cake, Ha!). The phrase that best describes us is "Team work makes the Dream work".
